The Cainta Catholic College newsletter humbly began in June 1991 and started publishing under the name Ginintuang Uhay. The latter, initiated by Dr. Aladdin de Guzman, former Grade School Principal and Dean of Education of Cainta Catholic College, was created for the institution (formerly known as Cainta Catholic School) to have a contender in school journalism contests. Soon, it became an outlet for students to express their thoughts and feelings through their skills in writing, and also became a way of communicating to the CCC community the news and events that happened within the campus. Through the years, the newsletter continues develop and flourish under the guidance of accomplished advisers, winning various school journalism competitions, and continuing to serve the CCC community with responsible and passionate journalism. Now, Ginintuang Uhay is now known as the Regina Lucis newsletter and remains to uphold the traditions of the publication in order to achieve the vision of this institution.
THE NAME AND THE LOGO
The word Regina Lucis came from the Latin language, meaning "Queen of Light." Seen at the middle of the logo is the image of Our Lady of Light, which signifies her presence and guidance. Furthermore, the quill symbolizes responsible writing portrayed by the student journalists of our school.
